ABA Module Rules 1. Rule 1.3: Diligence A lawyer shall act with reasonable diligence and promptness in representing a client. 1 Biblical Scripture: Colossians 3:23 "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters." 2 Rule 1.3 demands a lawyer to represent a client to the best of his ability regardless of personal inconveniences, obstruction or opposition. He/she should take necessary measures to ensure a client is vindicated. They must take responsibility with zeal as the scripture says in Colossians 3:23, urging people to carry out their duties with all their might and strength as if they do not serve human masters but God. As such, they should work as if they do not expect any payment from anybody and also do the best they can.
