Dementia Case Study
Dementia Case Study On a biological level, aging is a consequence of cellular and molecular damage over time. This damage leads to a gradual decrease in both mental and physical activity and the increased risk of sickness and death. These variations are not consistent or linear. However, they are loosely related to a person's age in years. As such, elderly people often suffer from common health problems associated with growing age, the most common being depression, diabetes, dementia, and osteoarthritis, among others. It is also common for older people to suffer from several conditions simultaneously. Diseases such as delirium attack at older stages and fall under a category known as geriatric syndromes. A care plan is used to measure nursing care and address the problems, as well as identifying the problems and the most appropriate solution.
