Asculapius: God of medicine and healing in Greek mythology. Asculapius had two daughters:
Hygeia: The God of Health (often portrayed with snake and drink bowl)
Panakei: The God of Medicine
Hygiene Categories:
- Personal Hygiene
- Rooms Division Hygiene (cleaning & desinfecting)
- Kitchen Hygiene: (Cleaning, Desinfecting, Planning and Routing).
Macro organism --> visible by eyes
Micro organism --> visible by microscope.
A micro organism is a very small, single celled organism.
The Micro organism are:
- Moulds (=schimmels)
- Yeasts (gist)
- Viruses
- Bacteria
Micro organism are important for Kitchen Hygiene.
Viruses:
Are smaller and less complex in structure than bacteria.
Viruses do not multiply or produce toxins in food.
Viruses need to invade living cells to replicate Virus
themselves.
