Why does the doctor say he leads a "charmed life" in Paris? - ANSWER He says that he has been a Bastille prisoner, and no one would hurt him, except to overwhelm him with embraces. 119. What's the mob's reaction to the Doctor's plea for help? - ANSWER They support the Doctor. "Help for the Bastille prisoner's kindred in La Force!" (page 208) Book 3, Chapter 3 120. Who is the messenger that comes to MR. Lorry, and what is his message? - ANSWER Mr. Defarge comes to tell Mr. Lorry that message of the Doctor's about Charles- that he is safe, but cannot leave the prison yet. He has obtained a paper that allowed him to see his wife.
