Contrasting businesses: a) ABC Bakery - a sole proprietorship: As a sole trader,
ABC Bakery is owned and operated by a single individual who bears full
responsibility for the business's liabilities and profits. This ownership structure
offers flexibility, quick decision-making, and minimal legal requirements. b) XYZ
Corporation - a public limited company: XYZ Corporation is a publicly listed
company with multiple shareholders and limited liability. The company's
ownership is distributed among the shareholders, and liability is limited to their
invested capital. This structure allows for significant fundraising opportunities and
the ability to expand operations.

2. Purposes:
The purpose of a business defines its primary objectives and activities. It
distinguishes between for-profit and not-for-profit organizations, each with
