Defining Standards and Principles
Internal and external messaging and business practices should be guided by global citizen
principles, in this manner effective and respectful communication, and relationships with stakeholders can be achieved. There are several global citizenship principles that can make the expansion of NationaliTeas appropriate and successful. First, there’s the principle of respecting cultural diversity. It suggests that even when values from different cultures might cause conflict, each and its people are equally worthy of respect. After setting such respectful attitudes comes being culturally empathetic, which is being able to see from different ethnic, social, political, and

participation in community social and political life. This implies feeling connected to a community and participating in issues that can regard the environment, poverty, trade, health, and human rights (Olds, 2012). Finally, the principle of networking on a global scale is essential, especially in building new partnerships. Networking as a global citizen requires the ability to make people from all over the world comfortable by “building relationships, striving toward common goals, navigating conflict, understanding differences, being able to work with others, and putting yourself out there when others won’t (Jesionka, 2020). The goal of following these principles is to make decisions based on critical thinking, cultural empathy, ethical systems, and choices (Olds, 2012).
