BIOS MISC Marj NR 537 Week 3 Assignment Test Blueprint.
Test Blueprint Construction using the Revised Bloom’s Taxonomy Test blueprints play an essential role in nursing education by allowing nurse educators to distribute test questions across different topics while presenting the correct weightage distribution to all topics of importance (von Bergmann & Childs, 2017). Oermann & Gaberson (2019) posits that test blueprints are critical in evading misunderstandings about the nature of coursework evaluations and making valid and reliable judgments regarding test scores (pp.54). The paper will exhibit a demonstration of the test blueprint three elements. The first element is the tabulation of the key topics or coursework instructional aims that the evaluation will cover (AlFallay, 2018). The second element entails the thinking skillsets or degree of complexity of the main tasks to be evaluated (Patil et al., 2016). The third element is the central emphasis each specific coursework topic each topic will contain, expressed by the number of points or percentage of items in the evaluation (Raymond & Grande, 2019). The assignment will demonstrate these three categories using the revised Bloom’s taxonomy. Adams (2016) posits that Bloom’s taxonomy can be used by nurse educators to generate learning objectives that highlight the competencies, abilities, and skillsets that they desire their students to understand, master, and exhibit.
