Of concern is that the company’s communication campaigns have been characterised by internal contradictions, with the result that it has had bad relations with most its stakeholders. Regrettably, management is not yet convinced that communication integration is the best approach to address the company’s communication challenges. As a marketing and communication manager at the company, you should do the following: 2.1.1 Define and explain communication integration to management. (5) 2.1.2 Identify and outline three reasons that have led to the need for integration that management needs to be aware of. (10) 2.1.3 Identify the five locations in the organisation that are centrally important to communication integration and what is required for communication integration to proceed in each location. These managers, in turn, have their own staff members who do not report directly to management, but who share some communication tasks as part of their responsibilities. You and the other communication manager need to decided how to coordinate the communication of the entire organisation. How would you manage communication integration using rules and directives, sequencing, routines and group problem-solving in order to ensure that your company’s communication is integrated? Describe each method and explain how you would apply it in the case of your company.
