M2: Compare the effectiveness of different teams.
In this task I will be discussing the effectiveness of a team; I have been part of teams which
have worked effectively and ineffectively together.
Team 1
In secondary school I was part of a Cricket team from 2011 to 2012, my team contained
another 10 members, I was working with the same people throughout the whole year; while
I was working in this team I believe we all worked effectively and cohesively and when
picking the positions there was not any disagreements, we had training on Wednesdays and
Fridays each session was one hour long. Our goal was to win the game against different
schools. And the borough cup tournament Normally we will meet up on our free time and
go do some training also after playing different schools we also have meetings that were
about giving each other feedback and mention what we could of done better and what we
need to improve for our next game. The communication within the team improved because
we always gave each other feedback and we all tried doing better the next time, we did not
achieve our goal of winning the tournament however we did bat different schools in the
borough, and we all enjoyed ourselves and had a lot of fun.
Current team:
I am currently part of a team that contains 4 people altogether we are working on a project
and our aim is to organise a trip to Thorpe park, we have been working together for almost
6 weeks we meet twice a week, however I feel that the communication in the team had
been poor and very bad, not much work had been done at the start so we have now picked
up the pace and started to do more work, the work being done is not of great quality
however it is much better than before, we have been working well now, however we must
ensure that all members are attending the team meetings that take place twice a week,
progress will only be made if all members are present, also another thing that must be
ensured is that all members are taking part and not being distracted by others, we must
start working together as a unit.
Our aim of organising a rip to Thorpe Park m sound very easy and straightforward, however
there are many factors that need to be considered before we can go through with the trip,
one factor is availability we must check our dates and see if everybody is available to come
along on the day that we decide to go on, we have to also ensure the rip is affordable for
everyone, we must also make a strong budget for this trip we must get all costs together
and see how much we are looking to spend and get a rough or get an estimated idea of
much we will be spending.
