Summary AC 3.1 Domestic Abuse - Plan a Campaign for Change (Exam Notes) Domestic violence is a variety of abuses that occur within the home, between families, or between couples. Typical pictures of domestic violence include an adult male perpetrator and a female victim, often his wife or girlfriend. However, some women practice domestic violence, and men can be victims. Indeed, violence committed by one family member or group member against another family member can be qualified. Domestic violence can take many forms. Physical damage, psychological and emotional abuse, and physical and sexual assault are common forms. On the milder but more serious side, abusers of domestic violence threaten victims, take advantage of verbal slander and bad reputation, openly insult, and play manipulative mind games. There is a possibility of doing so. Abuses can act very jealously and work to control access to the victim's family and friends and access to employment. Abuse is so extreme that victims can lose their jobs or be completely incapacitated due to absenteeism or reduced work productivity. In its most violent form, domestic violence includes actual physical and sexual violence, child abduction, pet torture or murder. Some victims have been forced to commit suicide.
