1.1 Discuss what is meant by the concept school of thought.
A school of thought, is a way of thinking, or scholarly practice, is the point of view of
a similar gathering characteristics of discipline, social development, financial

1.2 What is the sociology of education?
The sociology of education uses theoretical perspective and rigorous research to
provide important insights into the ways in which schools affect individuals and
groups.This being said I believe that sociology of education is a matter of research
to help teachers understand how they affect or should effect their learners.

This field of specialization can be delegated a philosophical as well as a humanistic
idea, signifying belief systems, educational plans and instructive methods of the
teaching and the executives of information as well as the social multiplication of
characters and societies. It is worried about the connections, exercises and
responses of educators and Learners in the study hall. It emphasises sociological
problems in the realm of education.

1.3 Explain what is meant by the following terms: and give one example of each.
a) Bourgeoisie
The bourgeoisie are the industrialist class who own the assets, land and
instruments; they exploit the working class by paying them not exactly their work is
worth. An illustration of the bourgeoisie is the working class who like to purchase
large houses and vehicles
b) The proletariat
The proletariat are the working class they are the common who don't possess the
assets, land or apparatuses they use to create products for the bourgeoisie.
Working class are the social class having no critical responsibility for method for
creation (processing plants, machines, land, mines, structures, vehicles).

1.4 One of the functions of sociology of education is the assimilation and the
transmission of culture, whereby learners are taught to respect others (see p5 in SoE).
Briefly discuss how this aim could be taught in the classroom.
The assimilation and the transmission of culture and customs should be done
intentionally and specifically. The consideration of explicit parts of culture and
custom in the assortment of information that will be educated ought to rely upon
