In this task, i will explain the results from measuring and managing
performance inform employee development.

Employee development is the last part when monitoring employee
performance. This is because employees can carry on improving their
performance in their workplace while keep developing and becoming
enhanced in their job roles.

Mystery shopper results inform employee development through training.
This is because if the mystery shopper results were poor of the restaurant
business then it is important to use the results and feedback given to
improve employee performance. This is because if employees improve
their performance there will be more sales and the improvement of good
customer service given to customers. Training is given to employees so
they can carry out their jobs effectively and to acquire essential skills that
is needed so employees can change into jobs that are more challenging.

competitors also it Helps the employees know more about the health and
safety risks in a workplace. It Gives opportunities for employees to
develop personal growth and career development. Furthermore,
Performance will increase therefore the business will have more profit,
Well trained employees become more motivated

In Asda’s café business, satisfying customers by the quality of food
produced, the type of customer service given and the promptness of the
service inform employee development through accelerated promotion.
This is because an employee has given good customer service which
therefore increases sales so customers will come more often to eat at the
restaurant which means the restaurant business will gain more profit. This
is why accelerated promotion is given to some employees who have done
an excellent job in satisfying customers and produced quality food.
Accelerated promotion changes an employee’s position to a higher level
that has a higher salary which helps to develop management levels faster.
It gives employees responsibilities and recognition for the contributions
they have made for the restaurant business to be a success.

Before an employee starts working in a cafe, he must have the right
qualifications and skills to do the job. An employee could do a chefs
course so that it has all the knowledge, experience and training so they
can work to the best of ability. This informs employee development
through learning.

After when employees gets appraisal, they might get bored with their jobs
and change to a different job. Appraisals inform employee development
through job rotation. This is when employees move from one job to the
other with the same level of pay in a business. For example in a restaurant
business an employee may move from greeting customers, to tracking
reservations, to making sure the table is clean, to serving customers, to

, preparing starters, then preparing meals, next giving desserts, and finally
washing the dishes.
