Living with stress?
Stress is normal within our lives. However, too much stress is bad and can affect our lives and mood.
It can impact our self- esteem, relationships and can cause us to become irritable and agitated.
Too much for a long period of time can cause burnout which is mental, physical and emotionally
drained.
Stress symptoms include; feeling overwhelmed, racing thoughts, difficulty concentrating, worried,
scared, lack of self-esteem, low confidence, trouble sleeping, feeling tired, avoid the cause of
problems, eating, smoking or drinking more.
Stress can be caused by numerous factors, such as; working life issues, debt, monetary issues,
relationships, feeling lonely, housing issues and unexpected changes to life or routine.
Stress can impact the immune system making a person more likely to feel run down, it can cause the
digestive system to become weaker and has been linked to the increase of risks to having a heart
attack and stroke if a person has been under stress for a long period of time. Stress can also make the
process of aging faster and can make a person's mental health decrease which is linked to depression
and anxiety.
It can suppress your immune system, upset your digestive and reproductive systems, increase the risk
of heart attack and stroke, and speed up the aging process. It can even rewire the brain, leaving you
more vulnerable to anxiety, depression, and other mental health problems.
