Unit 9 IT Project Management – Assignment 2
Introduction
In this assignment I am going to research, prepare, plan and execute the IT project and also
monitor and control inconsistencies of the IT project. I will suggest proposals and alternatives and
at least two studied and practical solutions to an IT issue on a specific subject will be evaluated
consistently and completely, and a preferred solution will be justified through logical chains of
reasoning.
P3
1. Initial Idea
The project's initial concept is that I have been assigned by a gaming organisation called PUG
Games LTD to investigate, plan, and oversee a project that will match their needs while the game
is being developed or finalised. I've been tasked with creating a computer game that would appeal
to youngsters aged 8 to 12.
2. Initial Problem to be solved
The first problems to be solved are the various limitations, which are supposed to be IT challenges
that the developer encounters when establishing, developing, and performing the game. What
hardware concerns prevented the task from being completed. Although, giving two options on
how they may support and assist the organisation in minimising these issues.
While wearing this hat. You can only think of.
White Hat We were provided a list of facts and
information, as well as a list of difficulties that
the organisation had detected in a short
period of time, in order to revise the project
and bring it to a successful conclusion.
Red Hat As the organisation has a limited number of
personnel and technologies, there may be
several issues that make it difficult to design,
create, and submit the project.
Black Hat Because of defects or corruptions in the
software, the solution was unable to operate.
Yellow Hat The advantages of expressing solutions to
challenges are that it helps to minimise the
many limitations that people and
organisations face when planning, creating,

and executing the game.
Green Hat When it comes to finding a creative solution
to an issue, I'd utilise an approach that allows
me to create creative mind maps to show my
customers what various phases of design and
planning I've gone through.
Blue Hat This is where I will go through the many
procedures, I took to fulfil the designated role
or task, as well as check whether the other
team members followed suit to match the
client's expectations.
3. Lifecycle of a project - Which approach will this project employ
The Prince2 approach is one that I believe might be implemented for the project since it would be
a wonderful way to preserve more information about the project and exhibit a complete planning
of the project's needs.
Timescale & Options for this project
Because we are employing this technique, it is likely that it is a structured method that will
enable us to divide the project into subcategories and have a full perspective of each step.
Project completion timeframe
The project must be completed in three months, from the start of planning through the
completion and submission of the finished game.
4. Proposal 1 – Construct3 Introduction
Construct3 is a 2D game engine that allows you to develop and construct your own games in a
variety of genres. This gaming engine enables users to utilise computer languages such as
JavaScript to add actions and functions to the many objects and characters in a game scenario. It's
similar to Unity, but it's free to use, which is a plus for those who don't want to pay monthly or for
other subscriptions.
5. Proposal 2 – Unity – Introduction
Unity is yet another new gaming engine whose goal is to create modern and strong games that
pique the audience's attention and likeability. It is a gaming engine that allows you to create
realistic designs in both 2D and 3D games.
