The Working Memory Model
The working memory model (WMM) is an explanation of how short-term memory is organized and how
it functions. It is concerned with the part of the mind that is active when we are temporarily storing and
manipulating information- maths or playing chess, comprehending language.
It consists of 4 main components, each of which is qualitatively different- especially when it comes to
coding and capacity.
