BEING A TEAM LEADER
Every team needs a leader who is going to
guide them to success as a group. Every team
leader has a different way in which they guide their
team. A team leader must have a variety of
characteristics and traits in order to lead to a
successful team. The leader which was chosen for
this assignment was Barack Obama. He was the
44th President of the United States of America from
2009 to 2017 and the first African-American
elected. He is a leader and role model for many
persons within the African Descent. His leadership
style was Democratic for he listened to the public
and society to ensure that he could provide the
guidance and support they needed and make the
necessary decisions and plans that would help
everyone in the process.
LEADERSHIP STYLES
Autocratic- this type of leader is in control over all
decisions and expects little input from other group
members. They prefer to make decisions based on
their own judgement. This type of leadership may
come off as bossy but it can be beneficial for there
is clear chain of command, and the directive,
strong leadership can come in handy during
decision making.
Democratic- this type of team leader prefers to
listen to their team rather than always giving
