Article 50
- Treaty on the European Union - Lisbon Treaty of 2007 (into force in 2009)
- States that any Member State may decide to withdraw from the Union in accordance
with its own constitutional requirements
- Article triggered by the Conservative government in March 2017
European Union Withdrawal Bill
- Approved by Parliament in June 2018
- Incorporates all EU legislations into UK law, after which, Parliament can amend,
repeal or remove individual laws as necessary
