Essentials of Evidence-Based Practice NURS - 6052N
Introduction Evidence-based practice is the interventions with substantial evidence to support clinical practice in order to improve patient outcome (Melnyk & Fineout-Overholt, 2018). The availability and review of multiple internal and external scientific pieces of evidence to make clinical decision making is the critical component in evidence-based practice. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the quadruple aim through its four measures of patient experience, population health, costs, and work-life of health care providers and the EBP influence on the measures. Patient experience Incorporating the evidence-based practice along with patient preferences and values, needs a healthcare worker’s critical appraisal to bring out the best patient outcome (Melnyk & Fineout-Overholt, 2018). Providing patient with the best evidence-based information to participate in their own clinical decision making will bring increased patient satisfaction
