, Multiple philosophies formulate different significance and consequences for the
practice of teaching and learning. Human beings are structured differently and learn
from experiences and science. Science has a huge impact on the change of the
different lives on humans due to facts and evidence of an event that previously
occurred or explanations of a current event. Some people live in a mindset of ‘’I will
believe it when I see it”, which is referred to empiricism. Some human beings needs
more evidence and has more questions of what’s being said. This refers to scientific
rationalism. These two philosophies usually walk hand-in hand but also consists of a
few differences when being compared. By comparing the philosophy of empiricism
with scientific rational one can tell the major contributions to the development of
scientific perspective, especially in the
eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
Empiricism climax on the empirical evidence
that was gathered to formulate ideas than to
originate ideas from experience like a scientific
method that uses hypotheses and theories that
are tested against only observations that
consists only from reasoning.

Scientific rationalism and empiricism collaborate to search for the truth while trying to
avoid falsehood. On the other hand the two philosophy contradictory when it comes
to determining the source of knowledge, empiricism holds that sense of experience
is the key source of all concepts and rationalism argues that the knowledge and
concepts are gathered through reasoning.
Francis Bacon said that empiricism was dominating in
the 21st century and that it is seen as the new scientific
method because it rests on facts and evidence through
senses. Francis Bacon believed that previous science
and philosophy were unclear as they were built on false
assumptions that must be reconsidered.
In both of these concepts and philosophy strength are
being used in finding the real truth. Empiricism is used to
approve theories in science. This is supported by Galileo
who stated that beliefs must be tested empirically in
order to check that they work within the laws of physics,
the example of this statement is Aristotle’s theory of
motion in which he used rational thought to explain the motion of objects, the
argument continues were they argue about that heavier things fell faster than lighter
things yet Galileo disputed the arguing that it was air resistance that was responsible
for how fast things can fell.
