Scenario 1 Itinerary:
Brazil
Day 1 (23 March)
Arrive at LHR (London Heathrow) airport for your flight at 11:20. The recommended time of your
arrival is 09:20. You have an allowance of 1 X 23kg checked bag per person. The plane will land
at GIG Terminal 2. From the airport you can expect a taxi at the exit to take you to your hotel,
Sheraton Grand Rio Hotel & Resort, Check-in at reception, your rooms are 99 and 100.
Day 2-3
Relax and enjoy your time experiencing the hotel. There many recreational facilities at the hotel,
including a spa, a fitness centre, swimming and activities. Rio de Janeiro is one of the most
vibrant and cultural cities in the world, known for its white sand beaches and iconic landscapes.
Spend your afternoons on the beachfront of the hotel, with beach service, access to sun chairs,
umbrellas, towels and sports activities. At night they can try one of the many restaurants
situated next to the beach and enjoy the traditional food.
Day 4
Take a city tour through Downtown Rio and visit the Metropolitan Cathedral, travel to the top of
Sugar Loaf Mountain, enjoy Lunch at a traditional Barbecue house, all you can eat style, stop at
the Maracanã Stadium and visit the Christ the Redeemer statue on the cog train through the
Tijuca Rainforest National Park. Enjoy all Rio has to offer in this full-day tour of Rio's most
famous landmarks and enjoy top quality food. This 9-hour tour, which includes round-trip
transportation from the hotel and back, allows you to see all of Rio's sights in just one day. The
transport will pick you up at 08:00.
Day 5
The last day. The two couples can use this day to relax from their tour or explore the area
around the hotel, or Leblon which has a number of shops and local boutiques, free markets,
malls where they can spend half of the day. Then come back to the hotel to eat, at the newly
renovated, the elegant yet casual Casarão Restaurant.
Day 6
Check out from the Sheraton Grand Rio Hotel & Resort. A taxi will take them to the airport. Their
flight to Lima is at 05:45. On arrival they will be transferred to their hotel. The rest of the day is
at leisure. They can visit the main square to see the Cathedral, Government Palace and City Hall
or visit museums such as the Museo de Oro.
Day 7-8
After an early flight to Cuzco, they can pick up their car and drive to the Sacred Valley. The valley
includes everything between Calca and Lamay, and Pisac. The couples will spend two nights at
the Posada del Inca Hotel. During these two days they will visit Pisac, a Peruvian village known
for its markets and small handicraft shops and Ollantaytambo, a fortress. Both sites are good for
finding out more about their culture, and buying some handmade products
