The aim of the unit is to provide students with an understanding of: l Financial markets and instruments; l Why financial markets behave the way they do; l How financial theory is used to solve practical problems; and l The importance of ethics within the finance and investment industry. The focus of the unit will be on the two largest asset classes: equity, and fixed-income (bonds).
