Anterior or ventral: the front
Posterior or dorsal: the back
Abduction: movement away from the body
Adduction: movement towards the body

Opposite is medial: towards the mid line of the body
Flexion: forward movement of the limb, bending of a joint > muscle shortens
Extension: backward movement of the limb, increases the angle and straightens the joint
Plantar exion: ankle goes up (calf raise)
Dorsi exion: toes go up
Pronation: when your palm or forearm faces down, it's

Supination: thumb goes inwards from the wrist > When your
