, Report on an investigation into publishing
books in local indigenous languages.
1. Terms of Reference
On 23 March 2020, Ms J Zimm, chief editor, requested an
investigation into the possibility of publishing books in the
local indigenous languages. A recommendation is to be
submitted to the chief editor at the next council meeting on
May 06 2020.
2. Procedures
The procedures followed in order to collect the
necessary information were:
2.1 A survey was done in the community to find how
many people would prefer books published in indigenous
languages.
2.2 Articles about using indigenous languages was
considered, to better understand the importance of
catering for all readers and publishers.
