Department of Health Informatics,
HCI-670 -User Interface Design for Informatics
Week 6 Assignment Draft.
Benchmark - User Testing Script.
This assignment aims to apply user testing to the created workflow for the identified case study need.
Read the "Integrated Case Study" resource before beginning the assignment. Besides, refer to the
instructor feedback you received on the Topic 5 assignment.
Write a 750-1,000-word test script that answers the following questions:
1. Who would be part of the user testing?
2. What are the elements to test?
3. What are the steps used to perform acceptance testing, integration testing of new systems,
and testing of system enhancements?
4. Are there any rules involved?
5. What is the action/outcome expected?
6. What would the action plan be if testing does not work?
Answer.
A reusable document that determines how detailed the study and has preselected information
necessary for a usable test script is test script templates. These templates are necessary for any test
scripts. The templates should be completed to announce the completion of the test script officially.
According to Davis and Venkatesh (2004), "the top three reasons software projects were late, over
, budget, or failed to deliver desired functionality all had to do with requirements management
practices: lack of user input, incomplete requirements, and changing requirements." User acceptance
testing (UAT) is the last phase of software testing before it's launched to detect any error or defects. It
shows how the importance of the UAT to perform.
Here, in the case study, the merging of Electronic Health Records (HER) of Oncology North and South are
planning; both facilities must accommodate the new workflow and changes. Before the new workflow is
launched, UAT needs to develop and run to avoid any errors to provide both units' smooth function and
guarantee end-user satisfaction.
