Importance of Physical Activities: ARGUMENTATIVE ESSAY Physical education involves the process of taking some time out of normal class activities and engaging in physical activities that help boost t he health of students as well as clearing their mind from classroom activities. All student from middle school to high school require physical body movement because of the hours they spent in class been stationary for long period of times. Through physical activities students are able to stretch out and allow body circulation and this contributes positively to their classroom engagement and performance. Therefore, PE should be required of all students through middle school and high school because; it improves both physical and mental health and helps in development of social skills. When students participate in physical activities, their physical and mental health is improved despite their education level. PE lessons always involve teachers prompting student to physical activities such as running and playing games. Through this, their bodies are actively engaged and this helps in burning out fat and helps in boosting physical health. As the same time, students are able to clear their minds from the monotony of sitting down in class for long period of time. Through this, their mental health is improved and they able to deal with challenging class situation better. Therefore, PE promotes good health both mentally and physically. Student in all class levels need social skills in their daily interactions and this is why they should all get involved in the PE activities. Social skills might involve cooperation and team work and these skills can be learned in PE lessons. Through different activities presented to students in groups, they are able to learn how to effectively to cooperate with other to achieve the best results. The skills are useful in all stages in life, more so in employment. Therefore, physical activities encourage development of social skills which are useful in daily life. Despite the need to need to have all students in different levels to engage in PE, it might not be useful because some students might have physical conditions that allow them to actively participate and this could be a remedy for more problems for the students. Teachers believe that all students should be actively involved in physical activities. However, they dismiss the fact that some students have underlying health conditions such as chest issues. However, this should not be a reason for these students to engage in activities that are light and help in small bodies movement activities. Moreover, PE will provide all students with some kind of benefit even the one with health conditions. Conclusively, all student should be encouraged to take part in physical activities. This is because, it improves both physical and mental health and helps in development of social skills. students should not be sitting in their classrooms the all day without movement as this might result to redundancy.
