Rounding Rules Used Throughout

• Gravity drip rates (gtt/min) — to the nearest whole number, since a fraction of a drop cannot be
delivered.
• Round only at the final step; rounding intermediate values compounds error.
• Always use a leading zero (0.5 mg) and never a trailing zero (5 mg, not 5.0 mg).
