Motion: When position of an object changes with passes then it is said to be in
motion.
Rest: when position of an object does not changes with time passes then it is
said to be in rest
Q1. What is force ?
Ans : push and pull of an object is called force.
Effects of force : 1. change in the state of motion. 2. change in size/shape of an
object.
We can say that a force may-
Make an object move from rest.
change the speed of a moving object
change the direction of a moving object
bring a change in the size or shape of an object
cause two or more or all of these effects
There are two types of force; 1. contact force and non- contact force contact
force - the force which is happening when the two interacting bodies are in
direct physical contact is called contact force. There are also two forces-
muscular force and frictional force
Definition of muscular force and frictional force; muscular force- the force
applied when the muscles of body exerted and frictional force- force between
two surface acts opposite to the direction
Now' non-contact force- the force acts when there will be no physical
contraction object is called non-contact force there also have two force-
gravitational force, magnetic force and electric force
Now define one by one;- gravitational force- the force attraction between two
object due to masses. Magnetic force- force of attraction is called magnetic
force like;- magnet electric force- the force which is exerted on charged body
on another changed body called electric force.
