generate the claim. The other system we use is the Workers Compensation Board website where
you have to manually entire all the patient's information which is tedious and takes more time.
One time I went above and beyond my call of duty is when my Billing manager asked who wants
to take over surgery billing for one of the providers which was done through the Workers
Compensation Board. I offered to take over his surgery billing since my coworkers do not like
billing through there and I was eager to learn more about surgery billing.
What challenges have you faced in the workplace and how did you overcome it?
Answer:
The Senior Manager was going on maternity leave so I was given the task of
taking over her spreadsheets for our four locations of the location. These spreadsheets kept track
of every provider at each location and how much sales they were bringing in for the day. I was
nervous about taking over her work because the software used to generate the numbers to find
out how much expected profit the providers brought in for that day I had never used before. I
overcame this challenge by practicing how to use the software and asking my coworker for help
who had more experience with the software than I.

During college I worked at a local frozen yogurt shop. A patient from a
nearby hospital was wondering if we delivered frozen yogurt. I told her no and she went on
explaining how she really wanted some frozen yogurt, that that was the only food she could eat
and that she had no family member to bring her any. As a result after my shift (which ended in 2
hours) I stopped by the hospital to bring her frozen yogurt.

Answer:
When I first started
posting payments onto our electronic billing software I did not realize I was posting the appeal
payments wrong until about three months into my job. I instantly started panicking inside and
was thinking oh no how could this have happened, I need to fix this immediately! I went to tell
my manager and she was understanding and I started to pull all the EOB's I had posted the last
three months to see which EOB's I posted incorrectly and started going through the EOB's to see
which ones were posted incorrectly.
