evacuated.
For his "conspicuous gallantry" on this occasion, he was presented with the MOH by
President Harry S Truman on October 5th 1945, during the "Nimitz Day" celebrations
at the White House.
He was the youngest WWII Navy man to receive the MOH.

On February 21st 1945, Bradly saw a wounded Marine, ran to his aid through mortar

unit of plasma and bandaged his wounds. Through gunfire, he pulled the casualty 30
yards to safety.
For his actions he was awarded the Navy Cross.
