1. Introduce yourself as the new customer service manager to your team, focusing on one
of the six company values provided in the scenario (Excellence, Integrity, Humility,
Trust, Growth, Respect).

Hello Team! For those of you who don’t know me, I am Tammy Sikes, the new
customer service manager for our team. I’m excited about the opportunity to lead us to
excellence in serving the customers and clients of Corollary. I have great respect for all
the values of our company, but first and foremost, within our team, we must have trust. I
need to be able to trust you to perform your assigned tasks to the best of your ability. In
return, you can trust me to be fair in the assignment of tasks and recognition of your
efforts. As we gain experience as a team, the trust we build will enable us to efficiently
provide for the needs of our clients with autonomy.

2. Discuss how you and your team will use one of the following elements of self-
awareness in your daily interactions:
• emotional awareness
• accurate self-assessment
• self-confidence

As we address the needs of our clients in customer service, we need to respond to
their needs with confidence. It is imperative that problems are met with confident
solutions. The customer needs to have a sense of security when you explain the
solution to them, which can only come from your being confident in that solution. I
have self-confidence in my ability to provide leadership, training, and support for
anyone who needs to grow in this area.
