Look at the tab list. You are viewing the Health section of the EHR, which is comprised of several tabs listed beneath
it.
3. What tabs are part of the Health section? Overview, Alerts, Prevention, Problems, Vitals, Orders, Meds,
Notes, Care Plans, and Labs.
4. Click on the Account section. What tabs are part of the Account section? Registration, Encounters,
Insurance, Scheduling, Correspondence, Claims, Ledger, and Reports.
This activity explores both these sections and many of these tabs. Notice that the Overview tab is displayed
initially.

Notice that this area contains a quick overview of the latest information regarding Jane Shriver. This tab is used to get
a quick overall look at the patient. This area is a dashboard of information that is updated as work occurs in other
areas of the chart.
, Some features to get comfortable with when working in the EHR Go EHR include scrolling, collapsing and expanding
frames, and selecting titles to gather further details.

6. Sections on the Overview tab can be collapsed by clicking on the up arrow in the right-hand corner of the
frame. What happens when a section is collapsed? It hides the information and only displays the tab
header.
7. Encounters are outpatient visits or hospitalizations. What is the location for this encounter? General
Hospital
8. How many orders are listed on the Overview tab? 5
9. Now click on See More on the Orders section of the Overview tab. What happens? It opened up more
orders/displays all of the orders.
10. On the Orders tab list view, you can sort the list by any column. To sort by category, click on the word
Category. The orders are now sorted by category. How many Care orders are displayed on the Orders
tab? It goes to the care orders. There are 7 care orders displayed.
