Business Event – Awards Evenings
The main reasons why an awards evenings event are successful is because the entertainment and
the main purpose of the event has to come first or else the audience or the customers will not be
satisfied with what has happened to the event, and who is announced as the winner of the specific
achievement. Another reason why an awards evenings event is successful is because the event has
to be engaged to the audience or the viewers so that they are satisfied with the event. And with the
vast amount of people attending the event it suggests that the event will be successful. For an
example this year “The Best” event happened which included awards for the best players in the
world such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Virgil Van Dijk and Lionel Messi.
Sports and Recreation – Football
The main reason why football events such as the World Cup is very successful is because people will
want to attend the event which means the sport event organisers will make their revenue for
holding out the event and also want to see their favourite team performing with a passion. Another
reason why football events are very successful the best teams and also players will be performing
towards thousands of people who have the passion and desire to see them win the football game.
Entertainments – Music Event
The reason why Music Event is also very successful is because people want to see their favourite and
famous musician performing live in front of them on stage. During this summer in Ipswich, Ed
Sheeran set up in Chantry Park where thousands of people went to see himself Live which he
included Stormzy as well. And another reason why Music Event are successful is because of the way
they have set up the event and designed which will intrigue people and grab their attention.
Social Enterprise – Charity Event
The reason why charity events are successful is because of how they set up the timing of everything
in terms of when the event is open. Another reason why charity events are successful is because
they give a brief explanation of what their aims is and what the money will be used for. And people
will also donate their money to the charity as well as part of their help.
Common Success Factors
The common success factors across the four different types of people of events is the people and the
reason why is because they want to see the event and also pay money to see it as they have the
desire to see the event. The types of common success factors are building a relationship with people
by being able to communicate with them effectively along with being polite with them, marketing
your event so that people are aware what the event is and when is the event, another is the cost
reduction by reducing the costs of unnecessary things that will not be needed it in the event or
benefit them.

In this of the work we all have to come with a variety of different types of ideas of potential events
that we could do, by writing them up on a post it notes and put it on the boards and the whole class
altogether came up 18 different ideas.

Gaming Festival, FIFA Tournament

Football – have the facility, the equipment, Chicken and Chips – too expensive and health
have the people to manage it and safety training is required

equipment, have the musicians and also talent be careful due to liability
and also have the people to manage
Wax – needs professional training and could be

Our group has decided that we will set up a cross bar challenge as our event and the reason why is
because everyone voted for it as we think more people would like to participate in it and it is very
popular and also competitive.
