There are different types of leaderships that are used in various facilities and
organizations. Every style of leadership has its own merits and demerits based on its
characteristics. A nifty leadership style has the potential of uniting the employees together
towards the goal and vision of the organization. A good leadership cares about the organizational
vision and objectives and also the employee's goals and visions. That is because success of every
organization, company or even facility is determined mostly by the human resource. That means
an effective leadership can attract more skilled employees and persuade the employees to remain
working for the organization (Harrison, 2020). A nifty leadership influences effective
communication between leaders and employees which leads to better delivery thus leading to
positive reputation. But a poor leadership always demotivates employees, and makes
communication unhealthy between the employees and their leaders. Poor leadership can
discourage employees towards having passion and positive attitude towards their jobs.
Transactional leadership
Based on the Dr. Wassmiah case study, the style which was used was Transactional
leadership. That is because the characteristics of Dr. Wassmiah rhymed with the characteristic of
a transactional leader. For an example Dr. Wassmiah rewarded the positive behavior inoder to
boost its productivity and in Transactional leadership, leader’s employees are motivated inoder
to maximize productivity. Dr. Wassmiah used to set shot term goals just like in the transactional
leadership. Dr. Wassmiah had suspicious towards their working system because they were not
able to work effectively without supervision just like in transactional leadership which mostly
focuses in effective supervision of the employees (Moss, 2019). Dr. Wassmiah is the final
decision makers towards any rising conflict within the hospital which makes him to resemble a
transactional leader.
Transactional leadership merits
Transactional leadership has various merits such as the creation of achievable goals for
every employee at different levels. The Transactional leadership creates end points for the goals
as part of their structure inoder to enable their employees to work towards a certain goal with an
end point. That enables it workers to gain confidence because at every step of their goals is
