Risk Management Program Analysis - Part Two
Risk management is a critical aspect of an organization, especially in healthcare facilities.
In response to various incidents that take place within healthcare settings, some risk management
programs may be implemented to mitigate or reduce the rate at which some adverse events takes
place. However, when the risk management plan is being implemented, its effectiveness has to
be determined through various assessment methods. In this case, some individuals within a
particular team may be authorized to assess the benefits and the disadvantages associated with
the newly implemented program or a program that is about to be adopted. During the assessment
period, the team usually identifies the risk possible to occur and the impact that the threat would
cause. Though several risks can be identified, their severity differs, in which some may be severe
than others. This leads to the development of a risk mitigation plan that reduces the likelihood of
an incident to occur. If the newly developed program is effective, it may be accredited by any
responsible body when necessary. Based on the previous task undertaken regarding the Risk
Management Program Analysis – Part One, this task aims at a more in-depth analysis of fire
education training program that was developed.
The Role of the Joint Commission in Evaluation of Organizational Quality Improvement
The Joint Commission (JC) refers to a non-profit organization based in the United States
that is responsible for the management of the accreditation programs involving hospitals, among
other health care facilities (Baker, 2017). The commission takes the responsibility of developing
the performance standards among healthcare facilities to address various critical aspects
involved. If programs undertaken within a healthcare facility do not meet the standards
developed by this commission, they cannot be accredited by this body. In such cases, failure of a
program to be approved may lead to lack of some benefits associated with the program such as
