1.1 Define sociology in your own words.

1.2 Describe education according to your understanding.

Answer: Education is the process through which knowledge, skills, values, and cultural
norms are formally or informally transmitted from one generation to another. It prepares
individuals to participate effectively in society.

Example: A teacher guiding students in science lessons equips them with knowledge
and problem-solving skills.



1.3 Explain what is meant by the following terms and give one example of each:
