,INTRODUCTION AND CASE OVERVIEW
Musculoskeletal complaints involving the hand and wrist are common among adolescent patients,
particularly those engaged in sports and repetitive activities. While many cases are benign and self-
limited, failure to perform a thorough clinical evaluation may result in missed diagnoses such as stress
fractures, tendon injuries, or inflammatory conditions. Adolescents are at increased risk of overuse
injuries due to skeletal immaturity, high activity levels, and inadequate recovery time.
This comprehensive i-Human case study evaluates a 16-year-old male presenting with right hand
pain. The case emphasizes systematic musculoskeletal assessment, identification of red-flag
symptoms, formulation of an appropriate differential diagnosis, and implementation of evidence-based
management strategies.
