First, one must understand the meaning behind menstrual cycle. Menstrual cycle is a
period that occur once in a month to each woman under specific age .The cycle will
not occur if a woman is pregnant. In this process we will be focusing on the lining of
uterus, the follicle development, and the levels of hormones in the blood.
This are the meaning and definition of the hormones we will focus one:
FSH -Follicle developing Hormone.
This hormone is responsible for stimulating the growth of follicle in the
ovaries.
LH-Luteinizing Hormone
This hormone is responsible for stimulating the ovulation or the busting of the
egg from the ovary(ovaries) and the development of corpus luteum.
Oestrogen
This hormone is responsible for thickening the uterine wall (uterus wall) as it
prepares it for fertilization. The level of this hormone drops if fertilization did
not take place.
