Engage with one of your social identities and your experiences of this social identity in terms of how you perceive yourself and how others perceive you. Minority influence was relabelled 'conversion' by Moscovici, who argued that it is a different kind of influence to majority influence because it is not conformity based and it results in private change rather than the public compliance one sees in Asch's experiments. Critically engage with Moscovici’s theory by applying his theory to an example where a minority group tried to influence the majority group.
