Apple Incorporation is a global organization located in the U.S. Apple Inc. engages in

developing, marketing, and advancing consumer electronics, computers, and software. Initially,

the company was incorporated as Apple Computers Inc. by Steve Jobs in 1976. The company

name was later changed to Apple Inc. in 2007. Due to its huge achievement in the computing

industry, Apple Inc. is highly recognized all over the world. The primary element behind the

huge achievement of Apple Inc. is the organizational structure (O'Grady 15). Apple Inc. has

well-structured systems that boost its operations. This paper will focus on the organizational

structure of Apple Incorporation to assess the success elements compared to the foundational

elements.

The organizational behavior of Apple Inc. is the major element that has contributed

significantly to its prosperity. The organizational structure of a business determines the potential

in supporting new policies, contemporary strategies, and transformations (O’Grady 20). Apple

Inc. develops employees efficiently and incorporates them into an organizational culture that

enhances quick innovation. Apple Inc.'s developed products, such as iPhones and iPads,

represent the type of innovation the company is involved in (O'Grady 26). Although the

company's organizational structure plays a major role in advancement, it also poses some

challenges to the firm and causes constraints. Regardless, the company has been gradually

transforming its organizational structure to match its business environment's dynamics

appropriately. Apple Inc. has highly invested in enabling a culture that respects and cultivates

every worker’s value. Creativity, privacy, efficacy, top-rank, average combativeness, and

innovation are some of the most essential features of the firm’s organizational culture (Yoffie,

David, & Michael 79). The structure of the firm supports its objectives by captivating employees

to set goals and seek ways for reaching those goals, thus, spending minimal time inspiring them.

Organizational culture has also contributed to the commendable creativity of Apple Inc.

The culture of the firm presents opportunities for organizational development. The organizational

behavior of the firm is a common conventional hierarchy that supports some major elements

from other kinds of organizational cultures (Yoffie, David, & Michael 47). Although the

prosperity of Apple Inc. is highly associated with the effective management of Steve Jobs, its

organizational culture is also accountable for its success. The organizational behavior of the firm

supports it in responding and meeting the exceptional goals of the company's globally

competitive environment efficiently (O'Grady 161). The objective is attained through the firm’s

effective support in organizational performance by ensuring good leadership. Apple Inc. meets

the demands of its international competitive environment by marinating a culture that allows the

firm to progress faster, which is typical to spoke and wheel leadership, functional grouping, and

product-based categorization.

There are various ways to connect workers' motivations and values with an organization's

mission and goal provided that the firm understands such factors. The secret behind employees'

improved productivity is to capitalize on their differences (Yoffie, David, & Michael 113). The

aspect provides a firm the opportunity to develop by exploiting workers’ capacities and passions,

which are often unpredictable. Apple Inc. takes advantage of individual worker differences by
