P5 How approaches to health promotion protection has applied in selected health
campaign

The world observes 4th March as World Obesity Day but World Obesity Awareness Week is
organized in January every year. The goal of this campaign was to promote health by
spreading awareness amongst people regarding the ill effects of obesity within borough. This
campaign aims at making people conscious about the lifestyle they choose for themselves
and the effects of that lifestyle that they would have to face in the long run for the people of
borough (McKay,and et.al.,2018).

Various program was conducted throughout the 7 days’ span of the campaign. All the
programs circled round the facts related to obesity. The focus of the campaign was to reach
to as many people as possible within people of borough. All the attendees were told about
the facts regarding the statistics of people suffering from obesity and what all contributed to
getting them into the category of obese. The people were told about the difficulties that the
obese people have to face in their daily lives in borough. The approaches used by the
campaign for health promotion and protection were walking 1 mile and creating awareness
about the campaign through using social media.

The campaign enlightened the people about how 50% of the diseases are directly and
indirectly resulted by the excessive weight that the person has put on pertaining to his
unhealthy lifestyle within borough. The programs focused on making people to start following
a healthy lifestyle by including physical activities in it. People were about the importance of
tracking the calories and nutritive intake every day because weight cannot be lost in a
heathy way by just dropping the number of calories. The campaign also included programs
to impart knowledge on the nutritive value of different foods and its components.

P6 Approaches to health promotion along with protection which can applied in
selected health promotion campaign

Selected health promotion campaign is Cervical Cancer Prevention Week 22. This is the
healthcare promotional program which is effective to create large number of awareness
about the cervical concern and its negative health impact towards borough people
(Edelman,and Kudzma, 2021). This programme increases the awareness through sharing
information about the cervical cancer within large number of population which can be
effective and allow to deliver better and effective care to large population. This program has
created awareness through leaflets, factsheets, posters along with different use of social
media. These were the media that help to share the information about the cervical cancer
along with its prevention. There is another approach which include the fund raising which is
effective and help to provide some support to patient that can also create awareness about
the cervical cancer within people of borough. Promotion has been on large scale were
school, colleges about the information about the cervical cancer and related health impact
(Bennett, and Burns, 2020). Through this campaign, it allows to get information about the
effective response which are associated with explanation of the disease which is effective
and allow to share the information about the cervical cancer and tis negative health impact to
women within borough people. Through creating awareness, it can be effective to deal with
the situation to effectively deal with it. This also includes the information to perform regular
screening with PAP tests along with human papillomavirus (HPV) tests. This can also be
prevented through receiving HPV vaccine. These are some of the protection which are
effective and allow to get better care about the response towards the cervical cancer within
large population.
