, Introduction:
In this unit I will discussing what the aviation industry is vulnerable to weather
conditions and how it can affect flights.
The unit will contain weather reports and forecasts for airports as well as airline
ground staffs. Weather plays huge part and airlines/ travel adviser need to consider
when planning flights what the impacts might be for such weather condition.
The weather forecast is an important key aspect for pilots and ground crews to
update their weather information throughout the flight. There different types of
weather conditions to consider before take-off such as fog, heavy snowfall, icy
runway, heat waves and strong winds.
Whatever the forecast might be crews will maintain to the temperature so it safe for
the plane to land or take-off and cabin crews to make passengers feel comfortable if
there is turbulence due crosswinds. Air Traffic controllers will manage to update those
aircraft who are in the air space and about to land what the weather is like on the
runway in case if they need to increase the gap between planes when they are
