Assignment B – Board Plan(s)
On this page, show what you would write on the white board during the presentation stage, including: example sentences, timeline,
form and function.
Be realistic about how much you could put on the board during the lesson, and how much students would be able read and take notes
on.
Structure of first conditional sentence (written on the white board):
IF + SUBJECT + PRESENT SIMPLE, SUBJECT + auxiliary will + infinitive (future simple)
Examples which will be written on the board:
If I feel sick, I will stay in bed.
If you practice every day, you will improve.
Referring to the above examples, I will then write the following:
IF clause: If I feel sick ____________
Result clause: _____________ I will stay in bed.
Linked together: If I feel sick, I will stay in bed.
Now I will change the placement of the “if” in both examples and write it in the board.
I will stay in bed if I feel sick.
You will improve if you practice every day.
