, 1. Differentiate between anatomy and physiology.
- Anatomy is the study of the structure. How things work.
- Physiology is the study of the function. What do the system or
organ do?
2.Explain the characteristics of life.
- The Characteristics of life help us identify what is living versus
nonliving. These characteristics are as followed: organization,
cellular composition, metabolism, responsiveness and
movement, homeostasis, development, reproduction, and
evolution (Saladin, K.S. 2020).
3.What is homeostasis and why is it important?
- Homeostasis is important in maintain the body equilibrium.
This is the body way of staying normal. It helps regulate
external and internal environment mechanisms to help the
body reach its balance.
4.Explain what happens in negative feedback regulation and give an
example.
- Negative feedback is inversely proportional. This is the process
by which the body recognizes a change and initiates
mechanism to reverse it (Saladin, K. S. 2020).
Example: When the body see a drop in blood sugar, insulin is
released to rise the lowered blood sugar.
5.Explain what happens in positive feedback regulation and give an
