This is a personal summary that I have written during my many hours of AP English classes.These notes provide a close analysis on the famous South African novel entitled Disgrace by J.M Coetzee. These notes have quotes, page numbers and an analysis of the quote. It is also subdivided into which quote speaks about which character. These notes helped me survive my challenging course and helped achieve a result over 80 percent in essay question on this novel.

Written in MLA 7 (little brown handbook) In Coetzee's Disgrace, David Lurie builds a strong relationship with the dogs in which his interactions help the reader to gain a better understanding of Lurie's ideas and personality. Lurie compares himself to the dogs to understand social status. The event of him helping the dogs in a shelter coincides with the rediscovery of his identity. This essay provides a good example for beginners!
