Creation of the IWC

 The IWC was created in response to the CNO’s “A Design for Maintaining Maritime
Superiority”

 NAVIFOR was tasked with further ingraining and advancing Information Warfare as a
Warfare Area

 The IWC is responsible to shape, assess, and maneuver within the information
environment.
