Lesson objectives (SKAVs):
By the end of the lesson, learners should be able to define social and
environmental responsibility, identify opportunities for community service and
environmental conservation and analyse the impact of their contributions or
actions.
Learning Outcomes:
1. Students should understand the importance and impact of social and
environmental responsibility.
2. Students should be able to demonstrate co-operative learning skills.
3. Students should be able to take part in a community service project that
promotes environmental conservation.
Knowledge:
1. Understanding the needs in the community: Learners will need to know and
understand what the current needs or challenges are in their community.
2. Environmental conservation: Learners will learn the importance of
protecting and conserving our resources and the environment.
3. The importance of community service: Learners will learn about the benefits
of doing community service and how their actions can impact individuals in
the society.
Skills:
1. In the community service project, learners will develop the skills of planning
and implementing.
2. Learners will develop the skill of teamwork as they work in teams to achieve
a certain goal.

2. Analyse how they are engaging and communicating within their groups and
how they are taking on individual roles within the group.
3. Review their group presentation and reflection on what they learnt and how
they felt and apply this to what they learnt.
Introduction: (10 minutes)
1. We will introduce the concept of social and environmental responsibility.
2. Then we will discuss the importance of community service and
