1. Introduction
Affirmative Action (AA) and Employment Equity (EE) policies
were introduced in South Africa to address historical injustices and
ensure fair workplace representation. Despite these efforts, debates
around fairness, effectiveness, and unintended consequences
continue. This study explores employees’ diverse perceptions,
opinions and experiences of AA and EE within the workplace.
