ENG1515 Assignment 3 2026 - Distinction | Due 31 August 2026 Instructions for submission Study the following graph and answer the questions that follow. https://www.statista.com/statistics/1129481/unemployment-rate-by-population-group-insouth-africa/ Question 1 Based on the visual, it seems proficiency in the English language significantly enhances employability and career advancement opportunities. The problem, however, is that members of rural and poorer communities, who do not have access to resources, may display less fluency in English and be disadvantaged because of this (cf. 1.4.1.2 in Tut 501). In light of this statement, write an essay of about 1000 words in which you discuss the connection of the possible English proficiency levels of the members of the population groups depicted on the visual and their employability. Question 2 If you were the employer, what would you do differently to level the playing field and ensure that all races have equal employability opportunities? Critically discuss only three of those actions. Submit your assignment between 18 - 28 August 2026. When you have submitted, please review and grade your peers' assignments that will be assigned to you on and between 29 - 8 September 2026. When grading your peers, note ... Yes = The work clearly meets the requirement. Partly / Unclear = The requirement is only partly met or needs improvement. No = The requirement is missing or not done correctly.

, RCE2601 ASSIGNMENT 4 2025

SEMESTER 2 2025

DUE: 4 SEPTEMBER 2025

INTRODUCTION

This research assignment focuses on investigating the impact of technology-enhanced
teaching on learner engagement in South African secondary schools. The study is
designed to respond to a request from the Department of Basic Education, which seeks
practical and actionable recommendations to improve teaching practices using digital
tools. The research begins by carefully reviewing existing literature, making sure to
address current debates and developments in education technology and learner
engagement. It then explores appropriate research paradigms and approaches,
considering both qualitative and quantitative methods to capture a comprehensive
understanding of the issue. It also considers how action research can be used to identify
and solve challenges as they arise during the investigation, allowing for real-time
improvements in teaching strategies. Ethical considerations are central to the study,
ensuring the protection of participants' rights and the trustworthiness of data collected.
The ultimate goal is to produce reliable and socially relevant findings that can support
educators and policymakers in enhancing education through technology. This project
demonstrates a thoughtful blend of theory, methodology, and ethics to contribute
meaningfully to educational research and practice in South Africa.
