1. Difference Between Structure and Mechanism
A structure is a stable framework designed to support loads, such as
bridges or buildings. It remains stationary and is primarily focused on
strength and stability. In contrast, a mechanism involves moving parts that
transmit motion or energyfor example, gears, levers, and pulleys (Hales &
Gooch, 2012). While structures provide physical support, mechanisms
create movement and functionality.
