Explain the relevance of African indigenous knowledge systems within
education.
African Indigenous Knowledge Systems (IKS) play a crucial role in education by
ensuring that African heritage, values, and traditions are recognized and integrated
into formal learning. Their inclusion fosters a sense of cultural identity, allowing
learners to see themselves reflected in their education, which promotes pride and
